Screening Trends and Considerations for the Year Ahead

In a recent interview discussing the rise of background screening, IHR’s Natasha Preocanin sat down, virtually, with Adam Rudd to discuss how and why this trend has come about as well as the impact it has had on employees, hiring managers and recruiters as well.

First Advantage, the leading global background check company, has seen a shift in demand for background checks in recent years. What started off as an initial push by regulated companies, specifically within financial services, pharmaceutical, oil and gas etc. requiring their supply chain to adhere to their policies has now opened to wider industries.

Add in a rise of remote onboarding due to the recent pandemic and it’s created quite a stir in demand; increased emphasis on the candidate experience, international checks from widened talent pools, remote working, hiring manager communication and perhaps, most significantly a focus on “Real Feel” turnaround time.

Natasha and Adam delved into the year ahead and what else can be expected from and whilst there are some new norms, there seems to be some exciting developments coming out from the industry that can improve the new hire experience for all involved!
