Partnerships Team Feature – Guy Sage

The IHR Partnerships Team is unique in so many ways, but what they all have in common is a passion for the recruitment industry. We aim to share more about the partnerships team at IHR so that you can learn more about us!

We’re excited to feature another recent IHR Partnership team member, Guy Sage, with a few interesting questions. Don’t forget to connect with him on LinkedIn!

Tell us a little bit about yourself, starting with where you’re from?

I have always enjoyed meeting people and connecting friends from different locations. I grew up in Suffolk where I went to primary and secondary school, then decided to be as far away from Suffolk as possible for University, Newcastle! A career in London and 5 years in Qatar followed before having a family and returning to the UK.

Where do you live now?

East Sussex, in a village called Ticehurst. My family and I moved in December 2020 and have really landed on our feet in a wonderful community. We’ve been very fortunate to make and meet lots of friends quickly, all of whom have young families as well. Tribal parenting was born in Ticehurst!

What do you enjoy outside of work?

Spending time with my family, I have 2 young daughters and when not enjoying the bustles of family life I take myself off climbing. I’ve found an excellent outlet for mind, body and soul in bouldering at Chimera climbing centre in Tunbridge Wells. It provides me with the perfect blend of mental and physical challenge, delivering satisfaction, community and a sense of progression. I go twice a week and would recommend bouldering to anyone who will listen!

What motivates you?

Connectivity.

What do you like about working in partnerships?

Connecting people! I like exploring which pain points our partners solve for our community of in-house recruiters and how best to introduce them via our events and content.

What are your favourite IHR events?

Conferences. I love the topic specific events where we deep dive into what the community is struggling with and how best to solve those struggles.

What are you most looking forward to in the end of 2022 and 2023?

Q4, so I am reliably informed and looking at our schedule, is our busiest period of the year. I’m looking forward to attending our live events again, after our Summer recess, but mostly the Awards ceremony to celebrate alongside the best in-house recruiters in the community!

What has the rest of 2022 got in store?

Embedding myself in the community. I have been at IHR since June and been fortunate to meet and work with some brilliant people. I hope for more of the same but in 5th gear!

Ready to connect with our community of In-house Recruiters?

See how you can generate leads, exposure, endorsement and much more.
