Partnerships Team Feature – Besma Belfadil

The IHR Partnerships Team is unique in so many ways, but what they all have in common is a passion for the recruitment industry. We aim to share more about the partnerships team at IHR so that you can learn more about us!

We’re excited to feature another new IHR Partnership team member, Besma Belfadil, with a few interesting questions. Don’t forget to connect with her on LinkedIn!

Tell us a little bit about yourself, starting with where you’re from?

I grew up in West London in a place called Maida Vale. It was amazing growing up near family who all lived within a 10 minute drive. What a community!

Where do you live now?

We moved to Luton in 2021 to be closer to my husband’s family but also close enough to London (takes 7 minutes to get onto the M1 – Win Win). I love that everything is within walking distance with some lovely parks that my little one enjoys on the weekends.

What do you enjoy outside of work?

With having a toddler or any child, the weekend is more time to recover from a never ending back to back week. I used to spend a lot of time with friends spontaneously trying out different things such as kayaking in the summer and never ending Boxpark and cinema trips in the winter (love the unlimited cards they do!) Nowadays it’s more soft play and getting time in the diary with friends for a date that works in a few months time!

How have you found working from home, since the pandemic?

I absolutely love working from home even though it can be lonely at times. It gives me the work life balance needed with a young family but I also enjoy getting into the office once a week to meet the team and do some socialising with colleagues! We got lucky and had a pandemic baby so spent almost my entire maternity + pre baby maternity on mat leave. Gave me plenty of time to do lots of painting with numbers – I recommend anyone who wants to give their brain a break to try them.

What motivates you?

My motivation is that clients achieve the best ROI at the events best suited for them and hitting personal targets. I love being helpful and consultative and building some amazing relationships.

What do you like about working in partnerships?

I love being front facing and get a buzz when speaking to our partners helping them pick out what’s best for them and what they would like to achieve. I also love being on a team of likeminded people who are always ready to help with different ideas. WELOVETEAMIHR!

What are your favourite IHR events?

My favourite event has to be the live expo’s. I love that I get to meet a lot of partners at the same time as well as thriving off the buzz in the room with the different talks going on; some talks are so popular I have to stand in the doorway with people in front of me and I’m only 5’2. I also love the team dinner that takes place the night before!

What are you most looking forward to in 2022 and 2023?

I am looking forward to doing a full year’s worth of events. I heard the Awards night is possibly the best event we have so I’m expecting a fun-filled evening, letting our hair down, with our partners and all the winners. This year we have surpassed our expected entries within the first couple of weeks, so this will be an exciting conclusion to a busy year.

What has the rest of 2022 got in store?

We are full steam ahead into Q4, which is a shorter quarter as Christmas is coming up (Yes I mentioned it). It’s a packed one with back to back events and partners looking ahead into 2023 followed by a family trip in the New Year to sunny Marrakech. I’m really looking forward to the end of 2022 especially as it’s been the first year back to some normality since the pandemic.
