Should You Nominate Your Client for the Awards?

The Awards are just around the corner and it’s not too late to get involved! Even though the celebration is not until the 30th November, entries are open right now and the deadline is the 31st of July.
The goal of the Awards is to recognise the increasing achievements of UK In-house Recruitment Teams and the individuals that form them. During a sustained period of industry reform, in-house recruitment functions face several challenges, led by demands from job seekers and hiring managers. Entries to these Awards are welcomed from in-house recruiters within all company sizes, across all industry sectors.
This might not be you, but one of your clients might fit the criteria and we absolutely encourage you to nominate them! There are a variety of categories that they are sure to fit into and there is a plethora of benefits for nominating a client for an award!
Who can enter?

The Awards are open to any company, agency, creative or individual producing work specifically to recruit talent in the period from 1 August 2021 to 31 July 2022. Joint entries where agencies and clients have developed and delivered the recruitment solution collectively are accepted.

How You Benefit

This is a great opportunity to show your client how much you care and acknowledge their efforts. Whether it’s a new client or a long-time partnership, we encourage you to celebrate them for the hard work they have done! Also, consider the extra brand exposure you both will receive if they become a finalist or winner.

Need some help with your entry? We’ve included some Hints, Tips and Advice for Nominating Your Clients for the Awards below.

Brag About Them with Context

This is your time to brag about your client and hold off on the modesty. Don’t stop at a simple overview of the achievement in your entry. Share their journey to success and its year-on-year impact. Don’t be afraid to include the challenges you have met along the way and how you’ve learned from your mistakes. They show perseverance and a willingness to think outside the box!

Be Clear and Concise

Although we want you to brag keep in mind that the entry should be clear and concise. Keep your entry well-structured & easy to interpret (long paragraphs aren’t easy to digest!) Our judges will appreciate an entry that balances key achievements with context and team testimonials, all within the word limit.

There is a Deadline on this

The deadline for entries is the 31st of July. Even if you know the project well, we recommend that you do not wait until the last minute! It will only cause you to rush through the entry process and may result in mistakes being made. Leave yourself plenty of time to create a compelling awards entry.

Show us the Numbers

Never omit a good statistic! It’s great to make statements but if these are supported by facts and figures, that will be the greatest marker of success in our judges’ eyes.

Double-check

This might sound obvious, but we cannot stress enough the importance of spelling and grammar checking your entry before submission! Always consult with your colleagues when compiling all the information to make sure you have covered everything in full.

Leave a Lasting Impression

Our judges are going through hundreds of entries so if you really want to set yourself apart, you need to leave a lasting impression. Go the extra mile to enhance your entry, whether that’s a video, an infographic, or a heartfelt testimonial.

Becoming a Finalist or even a Winner!

You’ll never know if you would have won if you don’t enter! It is worth a try and the best-case scenario is that your client becomes a finalist or even wins the whole category. That opens the door for more noise about both your teams and joint efforts. You’ll be able to showcase your accomplishments on social media or possibly your next branding campaign in association with The Awards.

If you have any questions at all about Awards entry, please do reach out to our team and check out the FAQ. We also encourage you to view our Awards page to learn more and get a better idea of what the evening includes if you have never attended. We look forward to seeing your entries and wish you the best of luck!
