Recruitment Leaders Insights – July 2022

Since January we have already run 22 in person and virtual events and from these surveyed 2,399 attendees about their current top challenges as an in-house recruiter. At the moment, 54% of IHRs are struggling with attracting diverse applications, 35% say that lack of brand awareness is holding back their recruitment process and not surprisingly 34% are simply struggling with a lack of resource within their recruitment teams.

We also ask the main question to understand their key metric in another recent survey, and that can be seen on the infographic below, that question being ‘What are the top challenges you face as an In-house recruiter in 2022 with your current resources’?

What we can see is that a whopping 25% said that attracting a diverse array of candidates remains their key struggle for their organisation. Closely followed in second place, finding the right candidates that hold the qualifications for the task. Thirdly, we see Talent Acquisition professionals face a brand awareness struggle during their recruitment cycles.

Conclusion

At IHR we want to make sure we put the right content to the right audience, which is why we like to keep on top of their main topics of focus and interests.

This year we see a switch away from Diversity and Inclusion, with more and more teams embracing far reaching solutions to change the culture within their company, and we see a higher demand for Candidate Experience, with D&I now second, followed by Employer Branding, and then Data and Insights.
