‘Maximising Your Recruitment Data And Applicant Source Tracking’ was an In-house Recruitment Network breakfast held in London, in May 2016 in partnership with Broadbean Technology.

This breakfast meeting united 30 in-house recruitment professionals, all of whom were keen to better understand the minefield that is recruitment data, and how to not only interpret it into actionable insights, but also how to harness it in the first place. As always, it was an opportunity for like-minded peers to share key challenges, as well as discuss areas where they’ve experienced success. We were lucky enough to hear from two fantastic special guest speakers, both of whom hold a wealth of experience in the recruitment data arena, both from a client perspective and as part of a solution to the issue.

Special Guest speaker: Anne Carrigan, formerly Head of Resourcing, Vodafone; Director of Resourcing, Balfour Beatty; Head of Resourcing Nationwide and now Head of Talent Acquisition at eightyseven group

Anne-Carrigan-300x300Anne kicked off the morning’s discussions with her fabulous presentation on telling the story through data and the ‘so what’ theory. Anne has a full career’s worth of experience in the recruitment industry, working for some of the UK’s, and indeed, the World’s most well-known, household name businesses. Using her years of experience in the industry, Anne now spends her days imparting this knowledge on current resourcing teams, analysing their key challenges and helping to improve productivity. In her presentation, Anne discusses the beauty of using data to ‘tell a story’, rather than bombarding people with statistics and offers some key hints and tips on how in-house recruiters can improve the way they analyse and use their data.

Josh WillowsJoshua led us into our final round-table discussion, by giving us a comprehensive insight into the solutions on offer to help in-house recruiters with their recruitment data needs. Joshua explains the main key metrics that he recommends recruiters monitor throughout the year, as well as discussing some real life case studies of businesses who have benefited from his data expertise. He delivered a fantastic introduction to Broadbean Technology and sent everyone into the final session with a list of key takeaways which were implementable immediately. It definitely got everyone talking which concluded the morning perfectly, sending all of our in-house recruiters away with some serious food for thought.
