Job searches are a lot like window shopping, so recruiters must learn how to creatively market their vacancies to attract more candidates, our breakfast attendees heard yesterday.

The day kicked off with Inspired Thinking’s Dave Netley sharing some very insightful tips on how to write a killer job advert, followed by Network Rail’s Emilia Hardern presenting how her organisation tracks application sources and measures ROI on their ad spend.

Our third speaker and In-house breakfast regular, Toby Windsor, spoke about how his company helped a client measure traction through data analytics, proving that the right data pays off. This was then reinforced by Broadbean’s Marc Edgson who advocated the use of big data throughout the entire candidate experience.

Attendees also had the chance to exchange personal challenges and solutions to getting the most out of their job adverts during our roundtable discussions.
