How to Succeed with Virtual Assessments

We had the opportunity to interview Principal Consultant Della Rath from Aon’s Assesment Solutions, and delved into the hot topic of adapting the assessment process in today’s uncertain times.

Talent acquisition professionals are observing a huge amount of disruption due to the challenges brought by these unprecedented times. Ensuring that the candidate experience is preserved and strong engagement maintained is crucial. Face-to-face assessments are obviously not possible at the moment so instead, recruiters are turning to video interviewing and online assessment centres to facilitate the pre-hire stage.

Della discussed some of the recent innovations at Aon in transferring assessments into a virtual space. The later stages of the recruitment process such as assessment centres and interviews can be held on virtual platforms which is being successfully carried out by many companies. Virtual AC’s can actually bring a range of unique benefits including improved social mobility, wider talent pools and of course – more flexibility.
