The education sector continues to struggle with staff shortages and its archaic recruitment systems only make matters worse. With the advancements in recruitment technology, it’s high time the education sector caught up with leading market sectors in their efforts to acquire and retain talent.

Head teachers and other education recruiters gathered this morning for a new round of discussions on how to implement a much-needed change to the way they hire. They had the chance to learn how a well-established institution like the Manchester Metropolitan University reshaped its employer image with the help of social media, as well as learn how an online tool like TeacherIn can eliminate the need for agencies when looking for staff.

Following a roundtable discussion on the challenges of the industry, our event partners at Chapter Education spoke about candidates’ job seeking habits and where employers should look to find and engage with them.

Check out our post-event whitepaper for a more detailed look at what was discussed on the day.
