Exclusive Insights: Early Careers Attendee Infographic

The post-pandemic landscape has hugely changed since our previous Early Careers conference back in 2020, but the principles of identifying, attracting, assessing, hiring and training top Early Careers talent has remained the same, it’s the how that’s transformed. At our conference in March 2022, we wanted to gather some more understanding, and what’s working effectively right now, so we asked our audience throughout the day, and we can reveal the results below.

Some of the key highlights from the below and throughout the day indicate that not only is attracting diverse talent a challenge for Early Careers hiring, but it’s also a key challenge in Recruitment with 76% of our audience noting “Attracting Diverse Applicants” as their main recruitment challenge, followed, quite significantly behind, by “Lack of Brand Awareness” at 35%.

It’s also clear that technology is still playing a big role in assessing and hiring early careers talent, with 28% of recruiters solely using virtual assessment methods, and social media playing a significant part in sourcing talent.
