How are judges selected?

Selecting the right mixture of judges is very important to us, ensuring that the panel represents a range of knowledge and expertise. The appointed Head Judge and IHR Team members will recruit judges who have either previously participated, expressed an interest, been recommended or those who are an expert in the field. A structured interviewing process will then be conducted to ensure the judging panel is of the quality and high standards that the IHR Awards are identified with.

How can I become a judge?

If you are interested in becoming a judge, please send an email to [email protected] detailing your relative experience and a short explanation of what insight you’d be able to add to the judging process.

What is the judging process?
  • All entries and nominations will initially be checked for eligibility.
  • The eligible entries go through an initial shortlisting process whereby our carefully selected judges will rank each entry against the specific entry criteria. Those ranked the highest make the shortlist and go through to the next stage as a Finalist.
  • IHR then run a judging day where all judges are brought together to look through each Finalist entry in more depth and make their recommendation. We expect there to be discussions for the judging panel to reach a consensus on our Bronze, Silver and Gold Winners for each category.
  • All winners will be announced on the Awards Evening, taking place on 2nd December in London.
Do judges provide feedback?

Yes, they can! However there will be a small charge for additional feedback for administration purposes.
